About the Workplace

The Building and Environment Department, with 18 employees, operates in building permits, environmental and health protection, and housing adaptation.

The Environmental Department is a supervisory authority within the municipality's Building and Environment Department. The department works based on food legislation, alcohol legislation, as well as permit and supervision cases within the Environmental Code. The main areas of work are food control, alcohol supervision, environmental protection, health protection, and individual sewage systems. In the work team, we have eight environmental and health protection inspectors, one administrator, and one environmental manager.

Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new employee for a 12-month fixed-term position to work on cases related to individual sewage systems, with the possibility for the right applicant to also handle cases in other areas. Most employees in the department have evolved to work on broader tasks based on preferences and skills. Areas where we need to strengthen staffing during the year are supervision and registration of documents related to individual sewage systems.

The distribution of tasks can be based on the experience and knowledge of the applicant. The work will involve both registration and archiving of documents, inspection of operations, as well as drafting letters and decisions. The position is outward-facing and involves a lot of contact with Håbo municipality's entrepreneurs and the public, but also contact with colleagues in other units and departments within the municipality.

We work in the case management system Ecos2 and actively work to develop the use of the system. In this work, all employees have a central role in developing digital and more efficient work methods, so we prefer that you are a driven and structured person willing to try new work methods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in the natural sciences or similar, or equivalent work experience. You should have knowledge of environmental and administrative law and be able to work independently with new tasks. Experience in supervision work, as well as working in Ecos 2, is advantageous.

A driver's license is required.
